History of the organisation MEDEX (background)

Mountaineering association from Novi Travnik "Haseljic Edin Medex"- MEDEX, is non governmental organisation placed in Novi Travnik, registered in the Ministry of justice Middle Bosnian Canton.

"Medex" exists and works the Medex Humanitarian Initiative- manager team with the main manager as a chairman whom is directly responsible to the Assembly for all projects.

Aims and objectives of Medex:

• Educational work with members;
• Affirmation of the recreation, sport, mountain climbing within schools and community;
• Creation of the conditions for safe mountain climbing;
• Support of the individual and amateur mountain climbing;
• Creation and the establishment of financial resources of the organisation, creation of foundation for activities;
• Managing of all other activities described by Statute of the organisation;

In memoriam...

Medex started with it`s work, as Mountaineering association "Pavlovica" in Novi Travnik in 1968., with members of all ethnicity groups.

After war association has been reorganised and started with humanitarian projects, on it?s own as well and with other non-governmental organisations.

In 1994.(still war period), association got a new name, by it`s distinguished member Haseljic Edin - Medex, who died on January 09 1993. as civilian.

He was one of the establishers of this association, president and long time period sport worker and enthusiast. Association is caring his name with proud.
